House Rules – Debrecen Gourmet Festival
The House Rules of the Debrecen Gourmet Festival (hereinafter: the “Event”), organized by Főnix Rendezvényszervező Közhasznú Nonprofit Kft. (hereinafter: “Főnix”), contain the mandatory entry and conduct regulations applicable to the Event.
The rights and obligations arising from the legal relationship between Főnix and persons entering the Event (hereinafter: “Visitor”) are set out in the General Terms and Conditions of the 10th Debrecen Gourmet Festival.

Date: June 12–14, 2026
I. ENTRY TO THE EVENT
1.
Entry to the Event is permitted within the time limits and conditions specified by the purchased ticket.
2.
Pre-purchased tickets will be exchanged for wristbands upon entry.
Before issuing the wristband, Főnix may request proof of age via an identity document; however, no personal data will be recorded or stored.
If the Visitor refuses this procedure, Főnix may invalidate the wristband without refund and deny entry.
Visitors must wear the wristband at all times during its validity. Staff may check wristbands upon entry, exit, and throughout the Event area.
Visitors with invalid wristbands must leave the Event area.
Wristbands are non-transferable.
Damaged, altered, cut, reattached, enlarged, or otherwise manipulated wristbands are invalid. Lost or damaged wristbands will not be replaced.
Főnix will take legal action against ticket forgery and related activities.
3. Glass purchase / return
Large tasting glasses are available for purchase upon entry.
Glasses purchased for HUF 1,500 with receipt can be returned for a refund when leaving the Event, provided they are undamaged and the receipt is presented.
Bringing your own tasting glass is permitted.
4. Restricted items
For safety reasons, Főnix reserves the right to restrict items brought into the Event.
It is strictly forbidden to bring:
- drugs
- pyrotechnics
- explosive, toxic, or flammable materials
- firearms
- knives with blades longer than 8 cm
- switchblades, gas spray, batons, metal chains over 50 cm, slingshots, throwing stars
- or any other objects classified as particularly dangerous under applicable law
Drones may only be brought in and used with prior written permission from Főnix and all required legal authorizations. Aerial filming or photography also requires prior written approval and must not endanger participants or the Event.
5. Food, drink, tobacco
Visitors may not bring alcoholic beverages into the Event area.
During official heat alerts, a reasonable amount of water may be brought in. Otherwise, one PET bottle (max. 0.5 L) of water or soft drink is allowed.
Commercial quantities of food or tobacco are prohibited.
Commercial tobacco quantity is defined as more than:
- 2 cartons of cigarettes
- 10 packs of cigarillos
- 10 cigars
6. Children
Children under 12 may enter free of charge but must wear a child wristband showing their name and the accompanying adult’s phone number.
Children under 14 may only enter and remain at the Event with an adult guardian.
7. Vehicles
Vehicle entry is prohibited without special authorization.
Visitors are encouraged to use public transport or taxi services.
8. Bicycles
Bicycles are not allowed inside the Event area.
Please use designated bicycle storage areas at your own risk.
9. Pets
Only legally recognized assistance dogs and well-behaved pets on a leash may enter, free of charge, under strict conditions:
- valid vaccination record (rabies within 1 year)
- microchip or readable tattoo
- leash and collar
- muzzle required above 10 kg
- owner contact tag
Due to noise, lights, and crowd size, bringing pets is not recommended.
Főnix may refuse entry or remove animals that do not meet requirements.
II. RULES OF CONDUCT
1.
Visitors must behave in accordance with laws, the GTC, and these House Rules, respecting others’ rights, safety, and the natural environment.
Please use waste bins.
2. Recording and photography
Audio-visual recordings may be made by:
- Főnix
- authorized partners
- media
- other Visitors
By attending, Visitors consent to recording and publication of their image and appearance without compensation. Visitors may take recordings for personal use only with non-professional devices and may not sell or commercially use them.
3. Fire safety
Lighting fires is prohibited, except in catering units operating under safety regulations.
4. Alcohol, drugs, misconduct
Alcohol may not be served to minors or intoxicated persons.
Disruptive Visitors may be removed without refund.
Drug use is illegal and punishable.
5.
Fire lighting is prohibited except in authorized catering units.
6. Demonstrations
Any unauthorized demonstration unrelated to Event programs is prohibited.
Főnix may allow or terminate demonstrations at its sole discretion.
7. Security cooperation
Visitors must cooperate with authorized security personnel and follow instructions in emergencies.

III. OTHER PROVISIONS
1. Liability
Főnix is only liable for intentional damage or harm to life, health, or bodily integrity attributable to it.
All other liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
2. Storage and parking
No cloakroom or valuables storage is provided.
Főnix is not responsible for vehicles or items left in nearby parking areas.
3. Ticket refunds & event cancellation
The Festival is a gastronomic event; program or exhibitor changes do not justify refunds.
Refunds are only available if:
the Event is cancelled by Főnix
the Event cannot be held due to severe weather
Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days after cancellation via the Kölcsey Center ticket office or by email (kiss@fonixinfo.hu) with ticket and bank details.
If weather is uncertain but the Event proceeds, no refund applies.
Force majeure (war, disaster, strike, etc.) releases both parties from liability.
4. Program changes
Főnix reserves the right to modify the program.
5. Unauthorized presence
Visitors without valid wristbands must pay the applicable fee or leave the Event without claims.
6. Complaints and lost property
Please contact staff at ticket points shown on the map for complaints, suggestions, or lost & found.
Please take care of yourselves and each other.
