THE FLAVORS OF THE WORLD – Debrecen Gourmet Festival in 2026!
From June 12–14, 2026, the Debrecen Gourmet Festival will fill the heart of the Great Forest with flavors, aromas, and experiences for the tenth time, this year dreaming bigger than ever. The theme of the jubilee edition is none other than THE FLAVORS OF THE WORLD – a three-day culinary journey across continents, cultures, and traditions.
This year, the festival literally brings the world’s gastronomic diversity to Debrecen: the Transylvanian courtyard and numerous other international cuisines will be featured, allowing visitors to explore which flavors shape the world through authentic dishes, unique ingredients, and captivating stories.
The year 2026 holds special significance: it is the International Year of Pastoralists, drawing attention to the ancient knowledge and traditions that shape food production and gastronomy around the world.
During the festival, we will also get a taste of these traditional flavors rooted in pastoral culture – presented in both modern and classic interpretations.
This year’s Debrecen Gourmet will be even more family-friendly, featuring a Kids’ Corner, children’s concerts, and playful activities for the little ones, turning the culinary experience into a true shared family adventure.
The gastronomic and cultural event that opens Debrecen’s summer season has grown into a nationally renowned festival, where quality, creativity, and community come together – all spiced up in 2026 with a truly diverse and globally inspired theme.
